Monster Hunter G requires a fee to play online

February 16th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Wii

Capcom has pulled back new details regarding Monster Hunter G. In order to connect with others online, you will have to pay a certain fee. The company has not announced a final price point, but Capcom will reveal that information at a later date. It’s unknown right now whether or not Monster Hunter 3 will also require payment to play with others over the Internet, though it does seem possible given the news of Monster Hunter G’s online setup.

It was expected, Monster Hunter games in Japan always have needed extra payment.
The question here is what is going to happen in America. To help the sales (something obviously not needed in Japan), the online game is free in the american Monster Hunters. We can only hope to see if they repeat that move when the game comes here.

Yeah, this news wasn’t too surprising.

Hopefully Monster Hunter 3 won’t have a Pay-to-Play service in NA.

The first possible pay to play game in north America, I’m sure Nintendo won’t let it happen.
