I counted 15 seconds to boot up Miiverse. Still on the rather long side, I’d say. Browsing within it seems fine, though.

Soo… my Wii U came unplugged during this update and it bricked. Now I have to send it in to Nintendo for repair.

Going to and from the wii u menu seems to be slightly faster, but going from a game to the wii u menu is still painfully slow. I did notice heading back to the wii u menu from miiverse was pretty speedy actually

After installing the update, I did notice that the console loaders faster, perhaps cutting the loading time by half. However, I feel that Nintendo should release another update to make the Wii U load fast enough to be acceptable to most users. The slow load times is my major gripe of the Wii U.

My Wii U is very quick and with the update its even quicker. I didn’t see a problem before and I d absolutely don’t see one now.
One thing that would be nice though would be if you could access Miiverse while in an online lobby, like in Assassins Creed 3.

Sorry to hear that captamerica. This is my problems with updating devices. I hope that in the future, Nintendo allows to download updates on a PC transferable to a SD card then install the update on the system.

So does it brick when the Wii U is downloading the system update? Not just when installing? That’s what I’ve heard and it makes so little sense… you can even keep playing games during the downloading.
