Kamiya: Bayonetta 1 eShop release up to SEGA/Nintendo

On Twitter, one fan messaged Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya regarding an eShop release of the original Bayonetta. Kamiya responded by saying that such a decision would be up to SEGA/Nintendo.


Some Nintendo fans may not have had the chance to play the original Bayonetta, so bringing the first title to the eShop could be a smart move.

    I hope they bring the first bayonetta on the Wii U.

    I’d prefer it being included with bayonetta 2, but eShop is good too.

    That would be pretty amazing. I’m sure many people who plan to get Bayonetta 2 (myself included) may not have played the first one (again, myself included). I really didn’t like the idea of having ports of games that had been out for a while already, like Arkham City, on the Wii U, but with Bayonetta it makes sense to give people a chance to see where the sequel started…even if it makes less sense than the Metal Gear storyline.

    Yeah, they should. I haven’t played it yet but I think it’d be a great introduction to the franchise.
