Peach’s Castle GameCube tech demo

March 1st, 2009 Posted in GameCube, General Nintendo, News, Posted by Valay

Back in 2002, Nintendo had sent out an interactive tech demo featuring Peach’s Castle to certain developers. Essentially, the point of the demo was to display the graphical capabilities of the GameCube. In each room, a different graphical effect is present.

I think that was actually a cool demo for the gamecube I never knew it was so powerful. I wonder what kind of tech demo if any will be shown for the Wii successor?

not bad. i remember watching 128 mario demo when it was first showed to the public and i was pretty impressed. im pretty sure you can find it on youtube, but it’s another video to show off the gc’s power.

That was one of the problems with the cube. It really was a sweet system. Many of the 3rd party games looked sharper than most of what was on the PS2. The tech demo is really representive of that. The cube had the tech to make amazing looking and more importantly amazing playing games. I had all 3 of last gen’s systems and the cube was easily my fave. Guys, seriously, do yourselves a favor and track some cube games to play on your Wii. Eternal Darkness or Rouge Leader should be 1st on your list. You’ll thank me. Sorry for the long post.

Its just shows how lazy developers were on the Gamecube when it had this much potential, the PS2 actually held back the GC and its sad, well now its time developers rectify their past mistakes and push the Wii !
