LEGO City: Undercover is a 22GB download

March 15th, 2013 Posted in News, Podcast Stories, Posted by Valay, Wii U

Maybe this is why LEGO City: Undercover requires an external hard drive in order to initiate a download from the eShop.

The new Wii U game seems to take up a massive amount of space. LEGO City’s file size clocks in at 22GB or so – an unpredictably high figure.

Of course, you could always opt for the retail version of LEGO City. You won’t have to worry about hard drive space if you choose this option.

    @thomas: 25GB

    Most of this is probably uncompressed audio/textures. Which is sort of silly, because they could have compressed it, shrunk the file size, and killed those (supposedly) unbearable load times with one stone.
