NPD: Wii Fit surpasses Halo 3 lifetime numbers
March 20th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiNPD numbers show that the lifetime sales of Wii Fit have surpassed Halo 3′s. More specifically, 6 million units of Nintendo’s balance board game have been sold in the U.S. while lifetime numbers for Halo 3 stand at 5.9 million units. This information accounts for all sales figures until the end of February. NPD sales data, which was released last night, illustrate Wii Fit’s ability to stay in the top 10 software sales chart. The title captured the fourth spot in February. Wii Fit, however, is behind its “brother,” Wii Play, in total sales numbers.

well. wii fit is not considered as a game because it is just on a gaming console
it’s like saying that TVs outsold halo or any other game

Wow that’s a fantastic argument, “me”. Well thought out, and well stated. This “not a competitor” style argument is getting really old and I’m curious to see what you people will be saying next gen when the same style peripherals are on all systems.

ouch take that xbots.
how is this not a game.
the wii is a game console isent it.
it allows you to electronicly control a player there for its a game.
just accept it some piece of crap has beaten your piece of crap oops i mean halo 3.
and in what half the time halo 3 was out in mid 2007 this was out in late 2008.
face it halo 3 is the most over rated game ever. even the first 2 were better but the original was by far the best.

wow nick, that “piece of crap” has blown ANY ps3 game away in sales so if this is bad for the 360 then, wow its fng horrible for the ps3. i guess it always has been though. really no competition games wise. ps3 got killzone 2. one good game. sad really.

Wii fit is a game, that argument is so rediculous, it has skiing, running, hula hooping, etc and some of those things are sports, which are technically “games” just because they also have excercise and yoga doesn’t dis-count this as a game, its a bunch of mini games, just like Wii sports, which is a game, or is it because it comes with a board instead of a mat like DDR, dancing is a game now but skiing isn’t lol, oh and Wii fit has dancing to lol !
