Punch-Out has Balance Board support

March 24th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Wii

An Italian Nintendo press release suggests that Nintendo’s upcoming boxer title Punch-Out will make use of the Wii Balance Board. While using the Wii remote and nunchuck, players can throw punches, dodge blows, and weave. It’s a bit odd that Balance Board support was not mentioned in any other press release, but I can guarantee that that Italian release explicitly confirms that the game will have Balance Board support.

Well what do the Itallians know?! I’d rather much hear it straight from NOA’s or NOJ’s mouths instead of the silly stupid Itallians!! ;)
But if its true… then YEAH, my WISHES have come TRUE for PUNCH-OUT Wii!! :D

What the Italians know? Well, the Italians that actually work for Nintendo should know better than us. This is from the official Punch Out!! site.

Its a cool feature to add regardless as long as its an option and not mandatory !

Well I’m very judgemental when it comes to things not always what they seem to be; because its always up to the orignoal developers to say anything official about their games; not some no it alls who think they know anything about them either!!!!!! :(

Anyway… I really hope this is true. That would be be freakin sweet. Totally agree Cap. But, on the bright side, you can always plug in the classic controller if motion control is weak.

No I don’t think it supports the classic controller, it says you can play the game using classic controls meening you can hold the Wii remote sideways NES style !
