Tecmo: Nintendo has declined to publish Fatal Frame IV in North America, won’t be released
April 8th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Wii“Nintendo holds the publishing rights to ‘Fatal Frame Wii,’ which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008. Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America – consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America.” – Tecmo spokesperson
Looks like something fishy is going on here. You may remember that Reggie Fils-Aime stated a few months back that Nintendo “is not the publisher” of Fatal Frame IV in North America. But apparently, the onus is all on them to see the game come stateside. All I can say is – There will be some very disappointed Nintendo fans if this game doesn’t see a North American release – myself included!

que jijos los de nintendo, si siguen sin sacar buenos juegos en américa, van a ir perdiendo público maduro y ahora si pasará a ser un juguete como muchos dicen. Qué esperan para traer disaster y fatal frame para acá?

All I know is NOA needs to get their $hit together, we went the end of last year with no games from them, and yet they refused to bring Fatal Frame 4, Disaster Day of Crisis and Captain Rainbow, this is getting rediculous now, yet they have no problem re releasing Gamecube games with Wii controls, I want new games !!!!! Those games could have filled the void at the end of last year. Ok everyone time to start complaining to Nintendo .
