Wii MotionPlus, now with forced condom

April 14th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Wii

A rumor popped up a few weeks ago that Nintendo’s upcoming Wii MotionPlus peripheral would come with a forced glove. Unlike the Wii controller itself, MotionPlus would ship with a tacked on sleeve and owners would be unable to remove it.

The Nintendo of Europe press release highlights images of Wii MotionPlus and, as you can see below, it looks as though the add-on will unfortunately arrive with the forced protection.

Actually, it kinda looks like you can slip it out…

Hmm…To me it really doesn’t look like you can. The images are a bit small but I can’t notice any opening where you’d be able to remove it.

Not being able to remove it would be a huge mistake on nintendo’s part, cause they could get torn and discolored, then you would have to throw it away? Not good for the envirorment plus nintendo cant sell you additional sleeves. If it is in fact attatched, I bet they will end up releasing another one that isnt due to complaints and whatever.. This will def affect my decision in purchasing one. Not to mention you couldnt wash it! I dont see this happening, its stupid.

hey i don’t have jackets for any of my wii motes. can some one who has a jacket try to cut it with something to test if we can just cut it out.

Wouldn’t it have to come off so that it could attach to periperals like a gun etc, if the jackets stay on it would be hard to fit them into other things ! Plus people may have the old jackets for the remotes, what are we supposed 2 do with those now ?
