Miyamoto on lack of Zelda Wii at E3
June 2nd, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiIn a video interview, Shigeru Miyamoto was asked about Zelda Wii, considering that the game was absent from Nintendo’s press conference. Similar to Reggie’s comment about Retro Studios, Miyamoto replied that Aoumuma and his team are “working very hard.”
“I hope you’re not suggesting that because I’m making two Marios now I have to make two Zeldas as well. Mr. Aonuma’s team has been working very hard, continuously. So yeah I’ve just been really busy, we do have so many games that we are working on at once. Fortunately I’m still having a lot of fun, it’s been particularly, recently, it’s been great to be as involved as I have been with New Super Mario Bros…”

They’ve been “working very hard” for how many years now?
I know they’re trying to keep in under wraps to limit the hype, but with the amount of time it’s taking, my expectations are still unfairly high.
Of course, seeing what Nintendo did with Metroid, maybe I don’t want any news…

I personally think, that the motion plus is why we have no new zelda this year. With the archery on sports resort, and of course the sword fighting, well you see where I am going here. They are trying to get these kind of features in the game. At least thats what I think. I still want to cry a little though hehe.

By the way I am well aware of the new zelda on DS. But alot of people are tired of the DS system, they keep coming out with new ones making the previous ones depreciate in value. I bought a used DS phat to play zelda PH. Then I sold it quickly while it was still worth what I paid for it (actually gained a few bucks cause of ebay xmas craze). Ill get a DSi when they quit making DS games lol.

Well its nice to hear about Zelda Wii though; kind of like last year at E308 when they mentioned them remember?!
So now anyway my hopes are slighly more regained because of these nice comments from Miyamoto!
I’ve got to hand it to those who asked from Nintendo Everything or any other person who was at E3; to those who actually asked about why there was no Zelda Wii!
