Opera: We have a good relationship with Nintendo
June 11th, 2009 Posted in DS, News, Posted by Valay, Wii“We have good relationship with Nintendo. The recent addition – the DSi browser – has been provided for free on the device and that’s a movement in the right direction. We are very happy about the fact that Opera on Wii is the most used device to browse on televisions – that is the biggest volume of users. We feel the browser is a very good user experience and working with Nintendo was very good. They challenged us and we challenged them and it is clear that they are very focused on making easy to use applications for their products.” – Opera’s von Tetzchner
I haven’t used the Wii Internet Browser much, but I have found that the DSi Browser is nice when I don’t want to lug my laptop into bed. Have you guys used either the Wii or DS Internet browsers much?

I use both from time to time to check email or my fantasy football scores. To me it’s just another piece of tech to access the internet in my house so I do not have to walk to my pc. I guess that would make me more lazy.

I’ve used the Opera browser, extensively, on the Wii, I wish they would update it so it has tabs, and the latest flash verison. It’s good for what it is but I hope they make it more modern in the future

In my personal opinion, the Wii’s internet browser could use a little bit more help. With all due respect, it sucks. (at this moment) It needs some MAJOR updates, and from what I’ve seen and heard, they’re pretty good. Although i’m not so sure if all the talking about it is true, i’m looking forward to the update.

Chillpenguin echoes my sentiments. I use it A LOT and it really needs an update.
