GTA: Chinatown Wars no longer a DS exclusive
June 22nd, 2009 Posted in DS, News, Posted by ValayI usually tend to stay away from news directly unrelated to Nintendo platforms, but I thought that this was pretty significant. Rockstar announced today that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be heading to the PSP later this year. This obviously means that the title is no longer a DS exclusive. I’m just wondering how the touchscreen controls will be changed for the PSP version. And also, why was this move made in the first place? Perhaps to increase sales of the title?

This is absolute BS, Nintendo never got any GTA,s except for one Gameboy game and now that they got one it still has 2 be ported to a Sony platform, how about giving us ports of all the ones from PS2 on Wii to compensate, or porting the PSP ones to DS, and we know it can be done by looking at the graphics in Cop the Recruit !!!

@Captain N,
You have to go where the sales are. Everyone with a DS kept saying “give us a GTA!” and Rockstar spent millions in doing so. However, when the game came out, no one bought it. Not because it wasn’t a great game, hell it’s the highest rated DS title out there, but because no one with a DS bought it. Since you guys won’t buy it, they have to try to recoup costs somewhere else. As for Cop the Recruit, good luck with that draw distance. I saw TONS of buildings just popping up out of nowhere. Hell, it reminds me of Driver for the advance.
