First day sales of Wii Sports Resort in Japan – Off to a solid start
June 26th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiWii Sports Resort sales data, much like the original game, will most likely be tracked for a long time to come. But how did the title perform on opening day in Japan? According to Japanese website Ameblo, the game sold 150,000 copies. Roughly 40% of the initial shipment was sold, though the title still has a strong chance of selling more than 300,000 units by the end of the week. While Wii Sports Resort was not able to sell more than Wii Fit in its opening day, it did perform better than Wii Music and the first Wii Sports title (based on data over a two day period).
