No More Heroes probably heading to a different platform
July 1st, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiNo More Heroes: Desperate Struggle may very well be the last game in the franchise to be developed for Wii. The latest edition of EDGE features an interview with Goichi Suda, who is the director of the game. In the past, Suda 51 has expressed interest in bringing the series to other platforms, going as far as to say that, “it’d be good to have a chance to release the game on other consoles.” Now Suda has gone even farther with his words and shared with the magazine that No More Heroes will most likely be making a transition to “a new platform.”
“I think this is the last No More Heroes that is going to be developed on Wii. To expand No More Heroes to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”

WTF?!?! Dont’t abandon the Wii! No More Heroes is a game that should stay on the Wii.

Well, it’s settled. The Wii has no outstanding 3rd party titles anymore, excluding a rare few.

To say that they’ve done all they can with the Wii is absurd. No More Heroes was, aside from the fighting parts and the attitude, pretty much a failure. Infinitely clunky, convoluted controls. They really didn’t even try. Look at what The Conduit has done with the Wii.

It’s possible that sales are involved. I don’t think the first one did terribly well in Japan.

Yup. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Wii and Nintendo, but Wii owners are buying all the wrong games. Scoring high ratings almost always means getting at least decent sales on the PS3/360 =/ On the Wii not the case.
Might have to get a PS3 or 360 soon for games like this – I’m guessing NMH’s coming to the PS3, not 360.
