Miyamoto comments on Kid Icarus
July 3rd, 2009 Posted in DS, News, Posted by Valay, WiiEveryone knows about the rumors – There has been plenty of speculation about Kid Icarus making a return to the Wii for a very, very long time. Strangely though, there hasn’t been any gossip about a possible comeback for a number of months. In the August edition of Nintendo Power, Shigeru Miyamoto commented on putting a new title in the franchise on either the Wii or DS.
“Wait, please. I’m really surprised how popular that is. But you are the first person to ask at this E3!”

“Wait” doesn’t mean it’s coming and…
“But you are the first person to ask at this E3!”
That doesn’t seem reassuring at all. 2 UNIQUE releases in over 23 years doesn’t lend itself to the title of “QUALITY FRANCHISE”. If I were a betting man and this actually hit the roundtable, there would likely be a number of perplexed looks regarding the risk factor involved with a new Kid Icarus title.
The ardent fans, myself included, are few in number…we simply speak the loudest.
