The Conduit not off to a great start in Europe
July 19th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiThe Conduit’s performance in the market will almost surely be examined for the next few weeks. As has been reiterated time and time again, developers/publishers may be influenced based on how well the game sells. So far, we know that under 72,000 copies were sold in the United States thanks to NPD sales data from June. However, even though there are no exact numbers yet, we can also get a pretty good idea of The Conduit’s sales in the Europe. Data provided by GfK-ChartTrack shows that, unfortunately, it isn’t off to the best of starts. On the overall charts, The Conduit debuted at the 29th position and only the 8th spot on the Wii charts. We’ll have to see how the game continues to sell over the next few weeks, but this probably isn’t the way SEGA was hoping the game would launch over in Europe.

ouch man that isn’t good.It was off to a good start here in the states in 7 days considering it’s summer and a new IP.Well i’m not so sure games are going get better if this game won’t sell.I’m not just going buy nintendo only titles.

It’s a shame. Conduit isn’t the highlight we waited for, but it’s a good game that deserves better than that…

Very good, at least Europeans got the idea how bad the game really is.

Well, keep in mind that worldwide it’s selling as well as CoD: WaW Wii did, and that ended around 1.3 million units.

So lame. HV puts a lot of efforts and time into this game and ppl just don’t appreciated as much. Of course comparing this to other FPS on other consoles, this isn’t as complex or deep like the big named titles, but for a new I.P. with great controls and fun to play; it deserves better.

Well FPS are always more popular in America anyway so the sales should be higher here then everywhere else !

Its probably due to the “Wiibrew channel”.I’m guessing the europeans burnt game, thats why its selling so bad!(Madworld and House of the dead met the same faith)

We Europeans just suck at buying good games =/ Little King’s Story, probably the most amazing game of the year, flopped over here as well.
I am a bit of a hypocrit for saying that, though, I picked LKS right away but didn’t buy Conduit. Simply not a fan of shooters at all (apart from Metroid Prime if you want to count it as one), not even on other consoles.

If conduit sales don’t pick up or stay consistent while low to get a good growth, then I’m afraid I will be screwed with my Wii console for great FPS and mature games. Loved RE4, Manhunt, COD games, MOH:Heroes 2, etc.
Need a good showing of this game.
