Nintendo: “We’re making Pikmin”

Nintendo has been holding another event to reiterate the games that they displayed at yesterday’s media briefing. However, an interesting tidbit has come from a Q&A portion of the session. When asked whether Shigeru Miyamoto still has interest in creating a new Pikmin game, he replied with a short but simple response: “We’re making Pikmin.”

    This one sentence made Nintendo save face at E3, because there demonstrations were deffinetly not aimed at core gamers, Wii music,Wii Sports Resort and Animal Crossing are casual players games, so this needed to be said, now lets get some pics and demos running ASAP Nintendo !!!!

    I think most people were hoping that the developer’s roundtable would include at least one huge game announcement. By the end of the event, this was unexpected, but at least it’s something hardcore gamers can nibble on.
