Fantastic. As a big fan of Koei’s Warriors/Musou franchise, I’ve been looking forward to seeing their first real Wii effort after they simply reused PS2 resources in Samurai Warriors Katana. A definite step up from the PS2 games, and one of their biggest titles on the platform yet. (As was pretty much inevitable considering the poor sales of the Warriors/Musou games on the HD consoles, having dropped off sharply from the high sales the PS2 installments enjoyed.)

So is this basically Dynasty Warriors game, but instead replace Dynasty w/ Samurai? Looks fun.

Yep, Samurai Warriors is basically a Dynasty Warriors spinoff set in Japan’s Sengoku era prior to the Tokugawa Shogunate and the famous warriors of the time. I’ve only got the first one, in addition to all the PS2 Dynasty Warriors titles, and it’s similarly an excellent, addictive franchise. I can’t wait for this to come west.
