Silicon Knights talks Eternal Darkness sequel
August 17th, 2009 Posted in General Nintendo, News, Posted by Valay“I get that question asked probably about once a week [Eternal Darkness sequel]. You know we love Eternal Darkness. We’re big fans of it. I think the future is bright in that regard, but there’s no comments to make whatsoever.” – Silicon Knights president Denis Dyack
An Eternal Darkness sequel has been discussed for a number of years. I know the sales of the first game weren’t too impressive, but it seems as though Silicon Knights isn’t opposed to creating a second game…I know that I’d be ecstatic if it were to happen.

A sequel to one of the greatest games of all time? Yeah, I’d buy it.

I’m just hoping for Vitality Sensor support.

Austin,
That is an AMAZING idea my friend! That would be sweet if it was (optionally) used to reduce your sanity meter and induce the hallucinations if your blood pressure reached a certain level…great idea, easy implementation, I’m sold, how about you?

Considering the shredding Too Human received, it’d be great to see them turn back to Nintendo like Factor 5 did. (Before they basically collapsed. It’d be nice to see them show up again in time, but I’m not going to hold my breath.) I never got far enough into Eternal Darkness – I should get back to it one of these days, since it’s still staring at me on my shelf – as I’m not a huge survival horror gamer. But a Wii sequel with the Vitality Sensor could be amazing. Exactly the kind of great application that could use in more traditional games.

@Jason
If they had support for that little gadget, I would for sure be sold!
