Famitsu to unveil Okamiden in next issue
August 27th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiWe only found out about the Okamiden trademark a few days ago, but we won’t have to wait much longer to find out what this mystery title is all about. 7&Y, an e-commerce site, not only confirms the game’s existence, yet also manages to let people know that the game will be present in the upcoming issue of Famitsu. It should be noted that e-commerce sites have accidentally let similar news be leaked in the past – Specifically with the Metal Gear Solid titles which were supposed to be properly announced at E3.

Damn you, NintendoEverything, you make it so hard for me not to get hyped about this. Let me be pessimistic and just assume everyone’s wrong about it.

I’m in the same boat as you, tealovertoma! Hopefully we won’t be disappointed next week.

Haha, it beats GoNintendo, where even good news is treated as bad news as the industry continues to shift toward giving the Wii its due, away from the HD consoles and PSP.
But yeah, Capcom’s been really hot and cold, so I’m just trying not to get my hopes up and waiting and seeing whether this is anything that might live up to Clover’s legacy, or if it’d just butcher the name, or worse yet be a terrible decision on the high def consoles. (As it speaks volumes when the Wii crowd bought Okami where the PS2 audience did not.)
