New Epic Mickey details
October 6th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiA bunch of new details for Epic Mickey have been revealed. A small amount of this information has been covered previously, but much of it is new.
- Mickey will be able to use paintbrushes, erasers, thinner, pencils
- Controlled through Wii remote motions
- Forgotten Disney characters are placed in a dark void which is a forgotten world containing nonfunctional machines, harsh characters
- Oswald the Rabbit running the dark world – Wants revenge (he was the first Disney character ever)
- Oswald the Rabbit creates The Phantom Blot – Attempt to destroy Mickey and his world
- The Blot invades the Disney universe with black ink – Colors run/fade – As seen on the Game Informer cover
- Mickey needs to essentially save the world
- Draw through levels – Fix bridges with correct paint color, peer through walls when the thinner is used, remove obstacles with eraser
- Game is focused on thinking/artwork
- Mickey getting “his first makeover in years,” he’s also “far more retro than you’ve seen him for years.”

The concept in this game is interesting. I never heard of Oswald the Rabbit, and I like to know more about him.
