Rare doesn’t know why Donkey Kong 64 isn’t out on the Wii VC yet
October 14th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiAlmost all of Rare’s Donkey Kong console efforts have been released on the Virtual Console. However, even though we’re nearly three years into the Wii’s lifecycle, we still haven’t seen Donkey Kong 64. In their most recent Scribes mailbag update, Rare said that they aren’t sure why the game hasn’t appeared yet and also discussed whether Jetpac would show up in the VC edition.
“I have no idea why DK64 hasn’t shown up yet, and whether Jetpac would still be in there or they’d replace it with Mario’s Cement Factory (which ate about three years of my life as a child) or something. Or maybe a single-screen 2D shooty version of Jet Race would be more appropriate. Who knows? Not us, obviously, or we wouldn’t be sitting here pitching clueless alternatives.”

I wouldn’t mind waiting forever for DK64 on the VC anyways… for all I care I’d wait for 2010 or 2011 for DK64 to appear on the VC! I’ve lost faith with the VC anyway!
Reason why I’ve lost faith is because Nintendo is being either dumb or smart making us wait forever for the good first party games to appear on the VC; like for example SSB64 still needs to be freaking releases in NA… & yes it’s pissing me off that it’s been 10 months without it!
Clearly NOA doesn’t like us NA VC fans; & rather space out their N64 titles on the VC! But giving EU & Japan SSB64 while making us wait until the year is about over is pure madness I tell you!

Like we don´t understand why JFG or Banjo Kazooie and the other great RARE games is never coming to the VC .
Games like Shadowman and the Turok series won´t ever come too….

I feel sorry for everyone who wants DK64 on VC, really sucks since it will likely never come.
As for myself, this is no big deal, to be honest I never really liked DK64 for a number of reasons but it still had its ups in its own right.
Plus I still have the original N64 cart in good condition.

Then Nintendo should ask Rare/Microsoft if they can release the game on the Virtual Console.
We still have hope that we will see the game on the Virtual Console and it just slightly increased.

i have been waiting for 3 years for dk64 to be realeased on vc in wii. It is one of the best donkey kong games I ever played. They keep realeasing lots other games that are for kindergatens which there are already plenty. I already have almost all zelda, mario, other old donkey kong games. Please realease dk64.
