    Holy Cow!

I beat Thomas H. to comment on a story about sales figures! So do you work in sales or what Thomas, what’s the story?

I’d say he’s just an enthusiastic gamer. He likes to comment on most of the posts here, sales talk included!

    I don’t know man,

I always see Thomas’ name right at the top of most “sales” oriented news articles. Nothing against that at all, I’m just curious about it, that’s all. He’s definitely a very valued visitor to the site for sure!

It seems that out of all the sales forcasts, The New Super Mario Bros. Wii will have the highest total sale forcast in Japan, higher than Final Fantasy XIII. Also, very high total forecast for the Legend of Zelda and Professor Layton games on the DS.

I think the Total Forecasts for Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer) 2010 and Mario & Sonic At The Winter Olympic Games are unusually low.

I’d expect PES 2010 to sell over half a million units on PS3 and the Wii version of Mario & Sonic to sell upwards of 1 million.

It’ll be interesting to see how many PS3 consoles are sold when FF XIII releases.

Considering the sales trends, I’m expecting we’ll definitely see a bump from FFXIII for a little while, but it won’t be the “console savior” (How many have people claimed the PS3 and PSP would have now?) many claim that it will be, and with the continual downward trends of main series FF releases’ total sales in the end, I don’t expect we’ll even see sales that match XII’s between the PS3 and 360. And I sincerely doubt it’ll make money for exactly the same reason GTAIV didn’t – the insane, insane budget they’ve sunk into it, effectively guaranteeing that even with last gen’s sales, they couldn’t make a dime.

NSMB Wii’ll undoubtedly be huge though, but this is a given.
