PS3 30,231
Wii 29,965
Xbox 360 3,662

PS2 2,109
For comparison’s sake, here are the numbers from September 28 (last week).

It seems that the lead for the PS3 over the Wii has increased this week, but not that much. This may change next week with the release of Bayonetta for the PS3. The PSP had the largest drop in sales from last week, dropping about 7,000 units.

It seems very likely that the PS3 will dominate the rest of this current generation. They are finally priced right and have a truly awesome line up of games. However, I’m not sure if domination this late in the game will be enough to make up for earlier blunders! Either way, it’s good to see three companies provide healthy competition and growth to the industry.

With Final Fantasy XIII not too far off the PS3 will see a sales explosion very soon in Japan. I’m sure Nintendo will be nervously looking at the sales of that game – not to mention Gran Turismo 5 next year.
