Famitsu sales (10/19 – 10/25)

The latest software sales estimates in Japan from Famitsu have been released. Official Media Create numbers will be posted later this week. Also, we’ll be posting Famitsu hardware figures as soon as they are available.

    My prediction was correct that most “core” games found on the PS3 and Xbox 360 will quickly drop out of the Top 10 a few weeks after their release. Uncharted 2 is surprisingly in the Top 10 after dropping five position from last week. Look at the “legs” for the top four games on the software chart, with Tomodachi Collection and Inazuma Eleven 2 Fire/Blizzard switching places from last week! Wii Sports Resort is still in the Top 10 while falling two places from last week.

    A lot of Western games fall out of the top 10 quickly.

    Nate-Dog7, what are you talking about? Hardly any of the top 10 is shovelware.

    Pokemon HG/SS will probably stay at the top of the charts until Final Fantasy XIII comes out in December.

    Forza 3 did alright considering it’s hardly a match for Gran Turismo 5……6th place isn’t bad for a 360 exclusive.
