Reggie not committing to 2010 release of Zelda Wii

November 6th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Wii

This information comes from Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO of Nintendo of America, on the latest episode of GameTrailers TV…

“You mentioned Zelda, we haven’t committed to Zelda for 2010. That’s what he (Miyamoto hoping to release the game next year) said. So we’ll see how that continues to develop.”

For some reason, I just don’t see Zelda Wii coming out next year. We’ll already have seen two huge Nintendo games – Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M. Besides, Nintendo has delayed their last few Zelda titles quite often.

It could be out for Xmas 2010-I mean twilight Princess was finished in 2005(It was delayed only to add Wiimote controls to it) and even Ocarina of Time didn´t take 6 years to finish it(ca 5 yrs with 100 man team a record in 1998).The wii needs killer apps desperatly!

It would think that it will come in 2010!Lets face it 2009 is pathetic for Core Gamers this yr!

Well just another let down from Nintendo. It seems like every year we think it’ll come out, but it never does, which means that when it does come out it will be incredible. 5+ of development time! Last time this happened we got Ocarina…. This wait better be worth it!

And they wonder why the momentum of the Wii has stalled. The Wii is the Betamax of this Gen….Content people

It won’t bother me one bit if the next Zelda Wii is delayed & possibly comes out maybe in 2011; but I just want it announced at E32010 GOD DAMN IT!! ;)
