New Lufia game in the works
November 12th, 2009 Posted in General Nintendo, News, Posted by ValayFamitsu published a new article on their site today, confirming the existence a new Lufia game. The Lufia series was mainly known for its appearances on the SNES, although other games have been released for the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, and mobile phones. In Famitsu’s report, it was noted that the original development team is working on the latest title and that it will be published by Square Enix. More details will be shared in the upcoming issue of Famitsu.

Lufia 2 was an amazing RPG ahead of its time. Truly one of the most overlooked gems and easily among my top ten favorite video games.
Shame the other entries don’t really compare, but I’m pleased the original development team is working on the new title. I do admit Square Enix involvement, even as a publisher, has me a bit wary.
Cautiously optimistic on this one, but I can’t judge until I see some screenshots or info.
