BBC iPlayer Wii channel launching in the UK next week
November 13th, 2009 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, WiiWii owners have previously been able to access the BBC iPlayer through the Internet Channel. Starting next Wednesday, however, the iPlayer will be getting its own channel in the UK. It looks as though the interface has received a facelift, as there were many complaints for those who have accessed the iPlayer in the past. The system is also “faster, high quality and improved viewing experience”. This channel is a UK exclusive right now and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
Thanks to Dan for the news tip!

Nice. Wonder if it’ll be as good as/better than the PS3′s XMB iPlayer shortcut.
