sadly, these award things are great promotion for games. and we know NSMB will win, but it doesnt need it. NSMB will sell itself, but madworld sales need it, and its a good game (but short). Same can be said for the rest of the wii list really.

A Boy and his Blob, Little King Story and even The Conduit are better options than Madworld.
Madworld was disappointment to me.

Batman: Arkham Asylum nominated as “Best Xbox 360 Game”? When the game is a multiplat for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC? Did Spike just add that game because the Xbox 360 had no good exclusives this year? Wow…that’s sad.

Anybody notice that for best handheld game there wasn’t a single psp game. I would have thought that Resistance: Retribuation would have been there, so tragic that game didn’t sell as well as it should have

The most anticipated game (Out of the ones nominated) is easily God Of War 3. However i’m wondering why the REALLY anticipated games (Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5) weren’t nominated……strange, since they’re coming out about the same time as GOW3.
Also, Uncharted 2 for GOTY is a given. Anything else would be an insult to the videogames industry.
Coincidentally…….no Wii game even NOMINATED for GOTY 2009? LOL……..ouch!

Where the hell is Muramasa?

These events are little more than staged commercials for high profile PS3/360 titles with lots of hype. Boring.

I just want to see halo reach, god of war 3 and mass effect 2 trailers and if that south park game wins anything, even though it sucked i might be able to see the furhers, trey parker and matt stone.
