In about two days in Japan, the DSi LL will go on sale. I wonder what will be the consumer reaction to it. As for the TV spot, it gives the impression that the DSi LL is more of a handheld system, but a portable device that the family can enjoy. This is atypical of video game commericals, but it does show that video games are no longer the exclusive domain for nerds and young males. It is better that the trend is towards diversity of demographics as there are many limitations of appealing exclusively to young males, and mostly it is not positive.
