While 37/40 is a good score for Spirit Tracks, it is lower than the 39/40 for Phantom Hourglass, which means the former was not an improvement over the latter.

@ Thomas N – I’d actually say that Spirit Tracks is a much better game than Phantom Hourglass.

Bad logic. Many reviewers have stated Spirit Tracks is a significant improvement over its predecessor, but due to a lack of freshness of the overall experience it’s given a smaller score. The contents of the review are always more important than some inane score.

Thomas, you don’t make your own choices in life, do you? You just go along listening to what other people have to say without deciding for yourself, don’t you?
Almost every reviewer has given ST a lower score than PH, but they all stated it was better than PH at the same time. Clearly. Why do you think that is? Tell me. What was that? Because it is.Think outside of the box from now on. ST improved upon PH but it brought little new to the table. Keep it in mind that all games that are sequels are judged for how different they are in the franchise.

Well standards are higher now if PH came out today would it have gotten that same score. Or if ST was released first and PH second what would be the scores then. Hard to say which is better when you think about it. I personally enjoy them both about the same.
