    Wow! NSMB Wii and Spirit Tracks both sold more than Final Fantasy XIII? That’s really impressive!

    how is that impressive? more consoles more sales…

    not only that but ff13 is only in Japan.

    No surprise, Final Fantasy games typically sell the majority of their lifetime sales in their first week in Japan. Final Fantasy XIII sold 1.5 million week 1 so obviously there was going to be a substantial drop – off this week.

    FF’s always have a massive 2nd week sales drop… its not impossible for it to be in 4th place in 2nd week sales.

    @ jeffyv

    Famitsu figures are only for Japan; so your statement is meaningless.

    I think that Final Fantasy XIII sales have been huge given the number of PS3′s sold in Japan.

    @Noctis

    Tell that to Okami on PS2

    Unlike the last few weeks, this software list is nearly total dominance of Nintendo software. Final Fantasy XIII lost its #1 spot after one week, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii regains it and beginning to show its “legs.” It has a greater chance to sell over four million copies in Japan.

    FF series has been in decline for over 10 years. I am sure SE is not happy about it. I am very curious, what platform are they going to choose for FF 15.

    Good for square enix they will lern from this that their games sell better when they are exclusive and i belive and hope FFXIII have poor sales outside japan….
