With the PS3 dropping 52% from last week, the Wii wins the 2009 hardware race. It was a close race between the Wii and the PS3 this year, especially since the PS3 price-cut in September. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a factor in the Wii’s hardware victory. The other is the holiday season in Japan.

Nintendo keeps getting the 1st place and that’s great for them! Meaning A LOT of units are sold every day, even tho the others do but being at the top makes everything different.

It was the Christmas week and yet somehow sales of the Xbox 360 managed to DECREASE from the week before, selling less than 7,000. That’s so sad it’s almost not even funny anymore………….

ps3 took price drops galore and a slim model to get there and don’t forget blind loyalty of the japs to silly Sony why else buy a psp for Christs sakes….!!!

the ps3 slim and price drops and exclusives have had there short term effect its all wii again

The wii is still the cheapest system.

Not surprising it’s sales tbh. It’s the mums console of choice.

How many Wii-fits would blokes buy,rofl.

PS3&PSP do not operate at a loss. Only the go slightly does.

The wii is a supercharged Gamecube.

It is for mums and children.

The 360 is a much better system then the wii, but charges for an overbloated live system.
