Zangeki no REGINLEIV took over 3 years to make; Nintendo originally unsure about ‘M’ rating

In a recent Iwata Asks interview, Hitoshi Yamagami tells that Zangeki no REGINLEIV actually took in upwards of 3 years to make, first getting approved before the Wii even launched. Additionally, he said that Nintendo was on the fence about putting blood in the game, but eventually decided that it was okay because players would be killing monsters and not humans. It’s just like Nintendo to do something like that!

The fact that the game received 28/40 by Famitsu and a three-year development time shows it is a disappointment. Regardless of the score, it is unlikely to sell very well which is unfortunate. I am not personally impressed with the game.

@Thomas
I thinks they wasted a lot of time on convincing Nintendo of the game and not actually 3 years of development.
