Eventhough Dragon Quest VI sold nearly 910K copies in its first sales week, it pales to the 1.27 million copies that the original Super Famicom version sold in its first week (1995). It would be interesting if it does have the legs to beat the original’s total numbers in Japan. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is still strong.

Good sales both for the month and LTD for the 2 big RPG’s – Pokemon HG/SS and Final Fantasy XIII.
Final Fantasy XIII should just be able to hit 2 million in lifetime sales in Japan, which is an absolutely incredible attach rate.
