Nintendo won’t transfer DSi data to DSi XL

“Thank you for your further email. At this stage, no details about a possible transfer of the acquired Nintendo DSiWare known. Should this be possible in exceptional cases, would be sending both devices are required. Please contact for further questions do so again on its release of the Nintendo DSi XL to our customer service.” – Nintendo customer service response

This news isn’t surprising, as Nintendo of Australia took a similar stance last year for consumers who wished to transfer their data to a different colored DSi. It’s definitely a shame that there isn’t a convenient way to transfer downloads from one system to another. I wonder if it will be possible to move WiiWare/VC titles to the Wii’s successor when it launches…
