this looks more like a fan made trailer then a real new trailer

Voice acting seems canned, if this is an example of the final quality Im not impressed at all. Also Im not liking Samus’s new hair do, or face for that matter. This game has a lot of potential but that potential could be equally good or bad.

    @ bets – It’s definitely a real trailer. It’s on Nintendo’s press site.

I thought it was a pretty awesome trailer; & I for one love the voice acting! :)

I don’t know what everyone’s beaf/bad attitudes towards the voice acting is; but those who whine and complain about it all of the time need to CAN IT! Especially those over on GoNintendo! :P

That was not much of a trailer at all…
Samus looks just right, though, and her voice is not really bad, though not what I expected.

    Lovin’ the cinematics :D

Excellent visuals, voice acting is okay – better than I expected after that awkward line on the official website. It’s at the very least tolerable.

I sure do like seeing trailers without gameplay.

i was hoping to see some footage about who the “remember me guy” is.

Apparently, the MBD (Mysterious Black Dude) was a fellow soldier (named Anthony Higgs) when Samus was in the Federation. She broke off and became a bounty hunter, so there is a little bit of bad blood between Samus and the Federation.

Maybe she has short hair, because this is early in her career as a fighter or even in training. Perhaps she didn’t have long hair til much later in her Bounty hunting career.

I am extremely critical of voice acting and I think most voice acting sucks. This, however, was quite good. I don’t get the complaints.

those graphics need to be cleaned up a lot. with that being said I still think the final product is gonna be great.

what’s wrong with her face and voice? i thought they were great! this is what japanese game characters look like and surprisingly, her voice acted good.

I think she looks and sounds alright. Pretty much what I expected.

While the voice acting is good, I think the problem is it is not what Samus should sound like in some peoples minds. I pictured her as stronger and more mysterious. Not one to discuss being young and naive.

This was more of a flashback cutscene trailer then a new one(this doesn’t really show anything new)but it is still alright.

And I don’t get all the complaints, Samus voice, while it was not exactly what I expected the first time I heard it, is at the very least decent and she looks fine too(keep in mind that this is a flashback).

I can’t judge about Adam’s voice yet since all we heard so far from him is “Any objections, Lady?”.

Her voice doesn’t sound bad at all.

I’ve always taken Samus as a somewhat near-emotionless anti-hero given her backstory.

I think she discussed being young and naive in Metroid Fusion, too, but it’s been years since I’ve played that. In any case, the dialogue – to me – sounds like it’d fit right in with that game.

I’m very excited about Team Ninja’s involvement with this series. I’ve always been a fan of the classics (especially 3), and I feel that Team Ninja is going to bring the new games back to that, but modernized.
