We’ve heard a few conflicting reports regarding the availability of the 3DS’ Internet browser and eShop. Based on an official statement straight from Satoru Iwata, it appears that the features will not be released until May. The thing is, it seems as though it applies to pretty much all regions. Iwata told the following to investors…

“The first system update is scheduled for late May, at almost the same time around the world. Upon this update, you will be able to use some features including:
• Nintendo eShop,
• Transfer of Nintendo DSiWare from Nintendo DSi to Nintendo 3DS, and
• Internet Browser.”
