GoldenEye 007 confirmed for Wii, first trailer released

June 14th, 2010 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Videos, Wii

Oddly, this trailer seemed to have appeared on IGN, but I can’t find it anywhere. A fan uploaded the video to upload, though in case it’s deleted, we’ve added it to this post.

Jeez, it looks like a totally different game! lol I hope they don’t mess it up!

    OMG. That was kickass.

Shit they put Craig on it? What the f*** is wrong with those guys?!

  6. By Blofeld on Jun 14, 2010

I’m with you, Pedro. I don’t see any good reason to paste Craig’s lumpy face on this game. But at least they’re bringing back old characters (and thus acknowledging the existence of pre-Craig Bond, which is more than can be said for the films). It’s sad when a game has more respect for Bond’s history then the movies do.

Craig? I can“t believe it! But Emo-Bond out of there and give us back Awesome-Bond!

  8. By Ron on Jun 14, 2010

    I am a happy man!

I guess that Activision is required to use Craig’s face by force of the contract.

After watching it several times I believe it’s a re-imagining (since Craig Bond is a reboot series too) but anyways this is the BEST way to get around all those rights issues! They can use the same maps and weapons from the game but since it’s a “new” game and not a remake they don’t need to deal with Rare I guess

WT**** Daniel Craig as James Bond, Peirce Brosan is the Original James Bond in Golden Eye!!!

  11. By Wow on Jun 14, 2010

    Hell Yeah! This looks awesome.
To everyone ****ing about Daniel Craig, they are using him because of contract issues calm down.

  12. By Pariz on Jun 14, 2010

I’m as happy as a dog with two tails.

  13. By Maxo on Jun 14, 2010

Dont tell me they removed the Pierce Brosnan model for Daniel Craigs please…

  14. By craig on Jun 14, 2010

I’ll take Craig over any other Bond mainly because he is in the best Bond movies.
The old Bonds are so unrealistic and its all about Bonds gadgets and, it sucks

It is about time! I’m excited about this. Thanks for uploading the video, Valay.

This must be the greatest licensing agreement ever made: Rare, Microsoft, Nintendo, MGM & Activision.

I want to know how they pulled this off.

    Muito legal!!! Nostalgia total aqui!!!!

i don’t care if it is craig as the bond…. it’s freaking goldeneye, the only the best shooter game of all time. as long as the facility is there and they have prox mines i happy

  19. By udx on Jun 14, 2010

I wouldn’t mind if it was Sean Connery. Now that was a kickass Bond.

Ahh, bringing back great memories of playing Golden Eye with my younger brother, and finding out it was the first game he could kick my ass at.

  21. By joemoreheroes on Jun 14, 2010

    Activision took it off youtube:)
I want extra missions and more multiplayer levels

  22. By Captain N on Jun 14, 2010

Screw you Microsoft….. LOL Nintendo wins this battle.

One of my FAVORITE games for the N64 BACK on the Wii? This seems too good to be true! Looks like I’m gonna work harder for it nao! :D

    Sweet…looks great!

I hope you understand that Craig’s Bond is technically pre-everyone Bond. In every other film, the character is established whereas Casino Royale, based on the first James Bond novel by Ian Fleming, establishes the character. Daniel Craig plans to take the series back to its roots by bringing in Q and Moneypenny (who weren’t in the first few novels) and adding personality aspects such as the humor and one-liners that we’re used to.

i cant even begin to believe wht im seeing. seriously after the dissapointing presentation from microsoft, this is just to good to b true. if nintendo is showing this monster so early, i wonder wht else they got in store for us. thank u nintendo/activision. unfreakin real ppl.

  27. By Lance9384 on Jun 15, 2010

That’s not really true. The most recent Bonds, yes. They tend to focus a lot more on gadgets for whatever reason.

  28. By Video Game Fan on Jun 15, 2010

Everything looks great…expect Craig as bond. That was Brosnan’s film.

  29. By Brandon Heat on Jun 15, 2010

I hope not to change the scenario and the stages a lot…But i am very happy!!!Go nintendo go!!Collector from greece…

my thoughts exactly–leave the Facility and proximity mines intact and I’ll be a happy camper :)

  31. By thosewhodream on Jun 18, 2010

as unlikely as it is, I’d rather see Sean Connery than the other two–although I liked Brosnan in Goldeneye. I’m not too impressed with Daniel Craig other than he’s actually British. maybe they should just put the All Bonds cheat back in there

  32. By Hero Of Time007 on Jun 18, 2010

seriously, it needs to have proximity mines and body armor, I didn’t see either yet. One of the greatest things to do in Golden eye was leave a proximity mine on the body armor and then somebody tries to get it and blows up.

HAHAHAHAH this looks so bad like EA trash, Nothing like the original
