The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time heading to 3DS, first screenshots
June 15th, 2010 Posted in 3DS, Posted by Valay, Site updatesJust in case anyone’s doubting the validity of the images, they do indeed come from Nintendo’s own server. I suppose it’s not completely confirmed that this will see a retail release, but it’d be a waste otherwise. It looks like the developers have done a considerable job upgrading the textures.

Please include Master Quest. Then I can finally throw away that otherwise poor port.

Wait, not confirmed? I’d wait until it is. I remember Aonuma being weary in touching Ocarina of Time again. Unless it’s a new game in the Hero of Time saga?

This is to 3DS what Mario 64 is to the original DS. A wonderfully well intentioned tech demo too good NOT to hit retail.
My money says this is an outsourced project, that Nintendo gives a few nods to. If the game’s staff DOESN’T consist of a bunch of non-Nintendo staffers (read: is a TOSE or other such 3rd party doing all the re-coding) then color me surprised.
Remakes and ports are HARDLY done by the original staff, if at all.

I’m I the only one NOT excited about this? Why, Nintendo? Why do you force us to re-buy all of our games over and over and over again! It’s torturous! Can’t we get a new Zelda game for 3DS?
