New Super Mario Bros. Wii has become the best-selling console title in Japan since Super Mario Bros.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii has reached a significant milestone this month in Japan. Based on data aggregated from Famitsu/Enterbrain, the title is now the best-selling console title since Super Mario Bros. The game has surpassed the likes of Dragon Quest VIII, Wii Fit, Wii Sports and even Dragon Quest VII. To date, New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold 3,894,356 units in Japan.
