Mine is Metroid Fusion. Great moments running away from cloned Samus

Metroid prime by a country mile, we can wax lyrial all day about the splendid 2d metroids, I particularly ejoyed fusion myself……..but playing prime 1 for the first time was an experiencn Ill never forget.
Prime 2 and 3 were stellar in their own right, but for me Metroid Prime stands head and shoulders above its brethern as the pinacle fo the Metroid series adn one of the greatst games ever devised!

I’d pretty much agree on that list, but I’d pick Fusion over Zero Mission and I’d drop the original closer to the bottom. It just doesn’t hold up to the gaming standards of now, revolutionary though it was back then.

Super Metroid is kinda overrated IMO, I’d put it behind Fusion.
It’s sad that Metroid 2 is so low, but is kinda hard to play a black and white game these days. I’m hoping for a remake.

I actually liked Zero Mission better than Fusion, which I felt was too linear. But I don’t like any of the Prime games. Sorry guys, I’m just not a fan of first person shooters.

I’m not into FPS games either and had to give Prime three goes before I finally “got” it.
In any case Prime 3 is a lot more accessible and versatile, so you might wanna give that a go!

I agree completely.
I would not change a thing. The first, perfect list I’ve ever seen.
Other M would fit right under Prime 3

Metroid Fusion needs to be higher

Would put Zero mission over Fusion, remake or not, it still was the better GBA Metroid game for me.

The hardcore retro guy in me wants to say Super is the best, but the slightly more sensible gamer in me says Prime is clearly the best.

This list appears correct. For my money though I believe Metroid Prime is the greater game but for the impact Super Metroid had on the franchise it must always be placed 1st.
