This is ridiculous. They have a whole category for performance by a human female and Jessica Martin (Samus, Other M) is not on this list? What. The. Hell. She should have won the damn thing, and she’s not even NOMINATED?! These awards get stupider every year. Spike seems to just hate anything Nintendo for no reason. Their VGAs are bull.

I suppose GT5 was not nominated because it does not fall in the time frame, what I dont understand then, is why, arguably the most anticipated game(GT5) of all time, is not nominated for “most anticipated” not to mention Killzone3 and Crysis2.

Games of the Year, yet exclude late-November and December? This is absolutely retarded. GT5 has best driving game easily and should be competing for best PS3 game, best graphics, possibly GotY.

Other potential candidates as well, including downloadable games.

Overall just completely dumb to not include about 15% of the year.

wow this is so much fail n shows it know nothing about gaming.
best multiplayer game doesnt have MAG.
best driving game doesnt even have GT5.
and best shooter is a joke with bioshock 2 there when its not even a shooter but no MAG.

oh and PMSL at most anticipated game,no kz3,no R3,no uncharted 3 but instead puts in gears of war 3 that nobody is raving about at all .hahaha fail is fail and american awards show is just sucking up american products mmmmm surprise surprise.

I think you all need to chill out about Reach being nominated. To question its importance and its impact is foolish, having not only sold millions of copies, but also holding the top spot on xBox Live since its release.

It’s certainly more deserving of that title than CoD. Bioshock and Mass Effect on the other hand are a given.

I was going to complain about there only being licensed music in the best soundtrack category, but then I saw that there was an “original score” category as well. That doesn’t excuse the fact that Super Mario Galaxy and Kirby’s Epic Yarn aren’t nominated for it, though. I guess the Spike TV watchers love their bland orchestral scores. God forbid they nominate anything Japanese.

Of course, the winners will all by hyper-violent, bloody massacres, like GoW III, Force Unleashed II (which was terrible), etc.

And of course, no Nintendo nominees for GoTY. But honestly, would Spike ever have a Nintendo game as GoTY? I feel like it would crush their manly image. Speaking of which, Super Mario Galaxy is the best reviewed game of the year. Idiots.

Oh, and I swear to christ if anything beat Portal 2 as most anticipated game or Starcraft II as best multiplayer I have lost faith in the “gaming community”.

But yes, you should not put down another game on the list unless it really doesn’t fit in the category. A lot of people love Halo, it deserves to be in it.

But yes, this list almost makes me want to puke.

Take a look at best graphics. Kirby’s Epic Yarn. If anything, it should be best art style. Best graphics? no.

And as mentioned before, nothing about GT5.

The list is pretty crap, CoD is the same stuff every year, and its getting tired. I find it a little suspicious that Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood got nominated for an award but Gran Turismo 5 didn’t. Neither game is out yet, so how can they possibly know how good they’re going to be???

Also, Galo: Reach for GOTY? LMFAO, every year there’s always a joke nominee in that category, this year’s is absolutely hilarious. Either Red Dead Redmeption or God Of War 3 will be a sure – fire winner of that category, only real games get the GOTY award, Halo is a joke and isn’t worth a damn to a real gamer.

Also, Final Fantasy XIII had better win RPG Of The Year over Mass Defect 2, ME 2 was a disgrace to videogames.
