Your first look at The Last Story in English
January 18th, 2012 Posted in Posted by Valay, Screenshots, WiiNintendo of Europe still hasn’t released an English trailer for The Last Story. They’ve shown off a handful of small screenshots, but that’s about it.
The game is coming to Europe in a month, so it’s about time we started seeing it running in English. You can find a bunch of new screenshots in the gallery above (yes, with English text!) as well as a few old ones that are much larger than the images on Nintendo of Europe’s site.

What? Zael? What was wrong with Elza? Leave it to localization teams to change things for no reason…

Well, not sure if this is true but Elza is supposedly a woman’s name in parts of Europe :/
They should have just tweaked his name a little then. It seems they’ve also changed the names of all the characters. I don’t understand why they did that. I’ve been following this game for a long time so I’m used to their original names. The biggest problem I see with name changes, though, involves the Japanese audio. Does that mean it won’t be included and that we’ll only be getting the dubs? It would be a complete mess to listen to the audio in Japanese while trying to follow along with English subs that have completely different names. Gives them all the more reason not to include the Japanese voices. To me, that would be pretty disappointing since I really like what I’ve been hearing and was hoping they would be included.

Elza does sound pretty feminine to me, but who cares =/ maybe you can change the names
