Zack & Wiki producer interested in making a sequel
April 22nd, 2012 Posted in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Posted by Brian, WiiCapcom’s Hironobu Takeshita, the producer of Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure, has strong interest in making a sequel.
Takeshita was quizzed about the possibility of a follow-up in an interview with Nintendo Power. Additionally, he was asked if there has been any consideration as to how a second game would play like on the 3DS.
Takeshita told the magazine:
“I have a great deal of interest in doing a sequel. It’s one of several IPs that I want to return to. As for Nintendo 3DS…it would be fun if people could play and solve puzzles together.”
Zack & Wiki was a critical hit, but it was not a financially successful game for Capcom. As a result, the company has been hesitant to revisit the IP.

Often the developers want the same things as fans. It’s the publishers that’s the problem.
