    There’s a Koopa Troopa costume, though, but I don’t know if that is solace for you.

    Anyway, I wonder if QR codes will act as DLC for new characters, or if it is just [another means] to unlock the characters already in the game.

    EDIT: I reminisce of the days where hidden characters were hidden up until the release of a game.
