Rumor: Character model from Kid Icarus leaked

February 1st, 2009 Posted in Posted by Valay, Rumors, Wii

The latest rumor surrounding Kid Icarus is that the character model from the game has been leaked. Before anyone starts going crazy, let me point out that this is just a rumor. We don’t know if this is really a possible character model Factor 5 would have used/is using for Kid Icarus on the Wii, nor do we know that this is even real – Hence why I marked this as a rumor. With that said, I personally have mixed feelings about the character model. I’m not really loving it, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve seen either.

This looks home made to me. Some kid probably made this in his graphic arts class and decided to pass it off to see what people would say. Looks nice but I say fake.

    Oh god…it’s horrible.

I doubt its real, Nintendo always uses a consistent Art style between there games, so Mario in Galaxy and Smash look the same. Link in Zelda, Smash, Crossbow all look the same. So odds are the real model for Pit would be the same or very similar to the one from Smash.

Its not going to be the one from Smash though I don’t believe, as the general plan was supposed to make Pit seem more adult like.

who says this is pit, it could just be an enemy

Well, I don’t really think your smash=same-characters-in-other-games-related-to-the character theory is reliable (not that I want to laugh at you), but if we think about the past, in smash bros melee, Link, for example, was graphically awesome for the time and I tought that the next Zelda game (which is my favourite franchise) would include that Link…but we all know what happenned….(at least WW was good…anyway) so the smash theory is true about the previous-to-smash games, but not to the future games…so Pit could become anything else than what it looked like in brawl. (Who wants to bet on cell-shaded Pit ?? lol)

I totally disagree with Marc and Brandon and definitely support Ben’s theory.

It’s not just Mario and Zelda that the theory has proven itself in. Look at Kirby, Pokémon, and all of the other characters in Smash. They all look the same as they do in their current games.

So, why not Kid Icarus? He is a KID afterall – as in KID Icarus, like the game title says … so, it makes no sense to make him look like a grown man.

I’m kind of leaning towards the fact that the game wouldn’t have to necessarily fit in with the design with Brawl, but…Who knows!

This might have even been just a preliminary model design.

Lol he has no ballzors. But seriously this game is one of those that delay and delay and delay and delay.
