7th Dragon (DS/Sega/Spring 09)

– New game from Niinou, the director of EO
– Command based battles
– 4 characters in a party at one time
– Simple game concept: kill all the dragons

– There are 7 classes in the game (Rogue, Mage, Fighter, Princess, Knight, Samurai, Healer)
– For each class there are 4 different appearances
– There are skill trees for each of the classes
– The stats include LIFE, MANA, ATK, POW, DEF, INT, SPD
– While moving around, the top screen is a top-down map view, while the bottom screen is a conquest map

Resident Evil Wiimake

– port of Cube remake
– supports Cube controller
– waggle Wiimote to draw gun
– Dec. 25th in Japan

Arc Rise Fantasia (Wii/MMV/Winter)

– A party consist of 3 characters, the longer the same characters stay in the party and battle, the stronger their bond grows. As this intimacy bond increases, there will be visible effects.
– A single character can pull off a combination of attacks with “single connect”, while multiple characters can pull off a combination attack on an enemy with “party connect”.
– If all 3 party members use a special “Excel act” attack on the same enemy, it turns into a super attack callde “trinity act” that does huge damage.

Infinite Space (DS/Sega/Spring 09)

– Large scale space opera RPG
– Your character does not equip armor and swords to fight, but captains battleships in space instead
– You collect modules for your ships to freely upgrade and customize your fleet
– Collect crew members with their own skills and specialities to change the strategy and abilities of your fleet

Dungeons and Dam (DS/Acquire/2009)

– Defend the town built around the dam from monsters attacking at night
– The layout of the dam and the flow of water is just as important to your survival as the growth of your characters and the construction of the party.

Ragnarok Online DS (DS/Gungho/18th Dec 2008)

– Movement and attacks can all be controlled using the touchpen
– It supports wifi connection for up to 3 players at a time
– Preorder goodies include a bonus booklet, 2 rare items from the PC version of RO, and 30 days free trial for RO on PC

Kizuna (Wii/Jaleco/Winter)

– Battles are extremely simple, hit the A button on the wiimote to attack the enemy in front of you
– There are huge boss monsters 10 times the size of a normal human (duh)
– Find the weakspot of the bosses by moving the cursor around the screen, when the cursor is over a weakspot it turns from blue to red (SotC much?)

Level-5 news

Ninokuni (DS/Level5/2009)

– The animation in the game is all by Studio Ghibli
– Level 5’s first 10th Anniversary product
– There will be a book bundled with the game filled with information on various magic crests and spell recipes. This “Magic Master” book is something that the main character in the game has, and the player will need to refer to from time to time while playing the game.

– There will be a console version of the game, but the hardware is not decided yet.
– They want the console version to offer something different for people that have already played the DS version, the selection of the hardware will be based on which is most suitable for this purpose.
– The exact same book will be packaged with the console version as well.

Inazuma Eleven 2 (DS/Level5/2009)

– Football Frontier concept
– Alien Gakuen team introduced
