OMOCAT has announced a 3DS stretch goal for its Kickstarter project “OMORI”. A portable version for Nintendo’s handheld is set at $180,000. With 22 days remaining, the campaign has raised a little over $68,000 thus far.

Here’s a brief overview of OMORI:

OMORI is a surreal psychological horror RPGmaker game. You must travel between two worlds, both welcoming, both concealing the same secrets. Meet new (old) people, fight new (old) enemies, explore your own memories, and uncover some hidden truths along the way (although you wish you hadn’t.) When the time comes, you can only choose one.

You can find OMORI’s Kickstarter page here.

Tappingo developer Goodbye Galaxy Games has announced that it has received a publisher license from Nintendo. Going forward, the company will be in a position to publish its own games as well as titles from other indies. Goodbye Galaxy Games intends to focus on its own releases first, though other developers will be assisted in bringing out their 3DS eShop games as well.

TicToc Games has interest in bringing its indie title Adventures of Pip to 3DS, the studio has said.

Creative director Marc Gomez told GoNintendo:

If Unity does support 3DS we’re all over it! If not, we do have stretch goals that haven’t been revealed yet. I will say we have a lot of 3DS fans in the office that would love to support this. We don’t want to say yes until we can deliver something we’re proud of and a development strategy and funds to do it right.

Senior producer Cathy Camacho added:

The sky’s the limit with Kickstarter! We would love to see Adventures of Pip on the 3DS. We have a lot of Nintendo 3Ds fan in the office and would love to support it. We do have stretch goals that we have not revealed yet… [WINK WINK!]

Adventures of Pip is currently planned for Wii U – assuming the Kickstarter target is met. You can find the game’s campaign page here.

This month’s edition of Japanese magazine CoroCoro has revealed a new StreetPass game for 3DS owners. The newly announced  Pokémon themed game, The Band of Thieves & 1000 Pokémon, will be released on the eShop in Japan for a limited time starting from the 4th of June. The title is a free download is said to offer a special Pikachu for download, which will presumably tie in with the main series of games.

The aim of the game is to try and collect as many Pokémon through StreetPass as you can who can then go on to battle thieves. Battles will be decided by the number of Pokémon you have.

The Band of Thieves & 1000 Pokémon is being released to tie in with the release of the 17th Pokémon movie in Japan, and thus the game features the main characters from the film.
