3DS eShop

Although Pokemon Tretta Lab for 3DS is a retail release, the actual game isn’t included with the package. Users will need to download the software through the eShop. In order to do so, an SD card requires 2,800 blocks of free space.

Cupra Studios is now an official Nintendo developer. Presumably, this should mean that the company can make games for both the Wii U and 3DS.

Cupra’s Oscar Yanez said the following of the news:

“This is a breakthrough in the development of our company because it allows increasing our range of possibilities to create video games based on both own and third-party licenses.”

Shin’en has confirmed to Nintendo Everything that development on Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai is complete. The team is now involved with final bug fixing.

According to Shin’en CEO Manfred Linzer, Jett Rocket II “is one of the most fun games we ever made.” In order to make it stand out among other eShop games, the studio “pulled every trick” learned on the 3DS.

Nailing down a smooth 60 frames-per-second count in conjunction with 3D was a big goal for the game’s developers. This was “an enormous task to achieve” – even more so when the action switches to free roaming 3D levels. However, creating an action jump’n’run without 60 FPS “simply felt wrong” to the team.

Jett Rocket II will offer platforming and action elements. In addition, there is a sense of exploration because there is “so much to discover” and “so many secrets to find”. Even after completing the adventure, “a new big challenge is waiting for you.”

Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai remains on track for release in Q3 2013. If you’re interested in the game, be on the lookout for new media that will be shared sometime within the next few days.
